ABOUT THE AWARDS
The Romania Green Building & Finance Awards is the premier annual event recognizing excellence in energy performance, sustainability, circular economy, and responsible urban development in Romania.
The 10th edition emphasizes the connection between building performance and green finance, celebrating projects that demonstrate EU Taxonomy compliance and prove that sustainable buildings attract preferential financing, green mortgages, and ESG-focused investment.
This is the second edition organized in collaboration with RoENEF (Asociația pentru promovarea eficienței energetice în clădiri), reinforcing the Awards’ role in bridging technical performance with financial opportunity.
The Awards recognize projects, policies, and solutions demonstrating:
- Measurable impact
- Alignment with recognized European and international standards
- Replicability and market transformation potential
- EU Taxonomy technical screening criteria compliance
- Bankability and investment readiness

Sustainable Cities Leadership Award
This category honors public authorities implementing policies and measures with real, measurable impact on urban quality of life and building stock sustainability – creating enabling environments for green finance deployment at scale.

- Cities and municipalities with over 50,000 residents
- Comprehensive urban sustainability strategies

This category recognizes construction companies, contractors, and specialized trades demonstrating systematic commitment to sustainable building practices across their operations and project portfolio – making them preferred partners for green finance-backed projects.
